SRCE: Areas of ecological corridors diffused in Poitou-Charentes

Ecological corridors are corridors used by wildlife to move between reservoirs. These corridors were obtained by cartographic modelling for 2 subtrames (Forests and heaths, Bocager systems). __Origin__ The first method, that of the lower cost path: it systematically highlights the best possible path for the species under consideration, regardless of the distance or fragmented nature of the territory, but it requires a considerable amount of time to calculate. It is particularly suitable for the regional analysis scale. By working on groups of biodiversity reservoirs, the calculation time is significantly reduced. The result is a line, to be considered as a “trace of principle” to be preserved or restored. However, the relevance of these lower-cost pathways must then be analysed at the local level. A simplified method, adapted to the scale of work within the aforementioned tank groups, has also been implemented with the help. This is dilation-erosion, allowing to find favorable spaces to connect identified and nearby reservoirs. The result is then in the form of “diffus corridors” represented by a land area potentially favourable to displacement, rather than a line.
