Support for cinemas includes a support component for the renovation and modernisation of cinemas classified as art and test, as well as a support component for digital equipment **** **Beneficiaries** **\- Support for the renovation and modernisation of art and essay cinemas** The scheme is open to existing establishments, classified art and test, with less than 800 chairs, operated by companies with public or private ownership and presenting a well-identified cinematographic cultural project. **\- Help with the digital equipment of cinema rooms** The device is open establishments managed by an operator operating less than 50 screens, to establishments which have obtained the Art et Test classification in the year of application, \- establishments not classified as art and essays, performing on average weekly less than 7,500 admissions and having no more than 2 screens. **Nature of supported projects** The projects supported are investment projects linked to the cultural project of the place and aimed at improving the comfort and reception of spectators. **Eligibility criteria** The submission of the file must take place **before the start of the work (or the acquisition of equipment) which is the subject of the application for assistance**. **Modalities of aid** **\- Support for the renovation and modernisation of cinemas classified as art and essay:** the allocation of regional aid is carried out within the framework of Resolution No. CR 09-01 of 5 April 2001, supplemented by Resolution No. CR 29-01 of 1 October 2001. **\- Support for the digital equipment of cinemas**: regional aid is allocated within the framework of Decision No. 29-10 of 17 June 2010**. **\- The regional intervention rate is between 10 % and 30 % of the subsidising expenditure.** For both schemes, grants are granted only after the vote of the Standing Committee of the Regional Council of Ile-de-France and signature of a model agreement setting out the respective obligations of both parties. **Steps** In order to qualify for this aid, and provided that the eligibility conditions are met, applicants must submit a complete application file including all the documents expected within a minimum of 3 months before the start of the work.
