Dataset description

Location of wind farms in Brittany (Situation of wind turbines: continuous update) A wind farm is composed of one or more wind turbines producing electricity. The installation of a wind farm is subject to several regulations in particular under the Energy Code, the Urban Planning Code, the Forest Code and the Environmental Code. The owners of onshore wind projects see all the administrative steps for the realisation of their parks grouped in an integrated procedure called d' single authorisation and leading to a single decision of the prefect of department thus grouping the #x27th; all the decisions of the State. A wind farm can only have a single operator. The definition of the wind farm has no administrative or regulatory basis. It is only abstract objects corresponding to aggregations of wind turbines. The polygonal geometry of #x27;a wind farm n' is only a visualisation device that serves to provide a map view of wind turbines on a small scale and does not correspond to any administrative or material grip in the field. __Origin__ A wind farm is obtained from l' wind authorisation of which it has been the subject. Wind farm data are created as and when all wind turbines in the same wind farm have been geolocated. The geometric modelling of a wind farm carried out by the DDTM (Departmental Directorates of Territories and Sea) does not correspond to any physical reality in the field. The geometry of #x27; a wind farm is built from the georeferenced wind turbines belonging to this wind farm. The delimitation of wind farms is the result of a geometric calculation whose parameters have been arbitrarily chosen: each wind farm polygon is geometrically created by a closing operation: erosion of 300 meters (or buffer of -300 meters) of the 500-metre buffer generated around wind turbines belonging to the same park. Several groups of wind turbines more than 500 m away may also be part of the same wind farm, particularly in the case of existing park extensions: the geometry of the park is then composed of l' all the associated buffers The modeling of the parks is carried out using the software &Qgis" based on a bdcarto-like background of l'IGN. __Partner organisations__ DREAL Bretagne [See this page on geo.data.gouv.fr](https://geo.data.gouv.fr/fr/datasets/58063a6806876de5c44d5b33c957ea3a741d2913)
