Dataset description

List of projects funded under calls for projects Youth Solidarity Initiatives * * * This dataset presents the list of winners of the call for projects Youth Solidarity Initiatives organised by the Department as part of its international cooperation policy. The main information on the projects selected includes the title, the description, the duration, the location of each project and the names of the awarded associations and the amount of the grant voted. Initiatives Jeunes Solidaires is a scheme created in 2009 that encourages 18-30 year olds to invest in projects aimed at reducing malnutrition and extreme poverty. **Specific observations** To be eligible, projects must: * be brought by young people between 18 and 30 years of age; * count, since 2018, at least 50 % of participants who live, study or work in Hauts-de-Seine; * have a duration of 1 to 12 months spent on the project at the site of implementation; * contribute to the fight against malnutrition and extreme poverty; * subject to the safety of the participants, be carried out primarily in the countries covered by the departmental international cooperation policy: Armenia, Benin, Cambodia and Haiti (the Department has suspended its activities in Mali since 2011 due to insecurity issues); * be carried by an association whose registered office is in France and by a local partner; * provide for restitution of the project on the territory of Hauts-de-Seine. A pre-selection committee examines eligible projects and hears project promoters. The proposed drafts are then put to the vote of the Deliberative Assembly for funding. Due to the COVID-19 health crisis, the 2020 and 2021 editions of the Youth Solidarity Initiatives call for projects were suspended and no projects were funded.
