Dataset description

The table of the winter viability network on departmental roads comes from the DOVH (winter viability organisation file) approved by the Calvados Departmental Council. In defining service levels, the organisation of winter sustainability is based on the departmental road hierarchy adopted by the departmental council, taking into account the geographical and climatic conditions of Calvados and the consequences of the weather on traffic conditions classified in 4 situations: C1 (normal circulation), C2 (delicate circulation), C3 (difficult circulation), C4 (impossible circulation). **Collection context** Since 2002, the Department of Calvados has operated a Geographic Information System (GIS) with a road component. All information relating to the management of the departmental public road domain is provided via the Department’s Road Geographic Information System (SIGR). The road graph is digitised from departmental orthophotos. The latest road graph updates were made from the 2020 IGN orthophoto. **Collection method** The technical teams of the Calvados Department integrate winter sustainability updates into the Road Geographic Information System (SIGR). **Attributes** | Champ | Alias | Type | | — | — | | — | | ‘objectid’ | ‘int4,PrimaryKey’ | | ‘axis’ | Route | ‘varchar’ | | ‘cumuld’ | Start metric Cumulus | ‘numeric’ | | ‘cumulf’ | Fine Metric Cumulus | ‘numeric’ | | ‘length_km’ | ‘numeric’ | | ‘plod’ | Location point start | ‘varchar’ | | ‘ABSD’ | Abscisse Beginning | ‘numeric’ | | ‘plof’ | End Location Point | ‘varchar’ | | ‘ABSF’ | Abscisse fin | ‘numeric’ | | ‘circuits’ | ‘varchar’ | | ‘exploitation’ | ‘varchar’ | | ‘patrol’ | ‘varchar’ | | ‘trafficking’ | Treatment | ‘varchar’ | | ‘type_circuit’ | Level of service | ‘varchar’ | | ‘circuit_n3p’ | Circuit level 3 (local priority) | ‘varchar’ | | ‘convention_nom’ | ‘varchar’ | | ‘code_vh’ | Winter sustainability code | ‘varchar’ | | ‘date_convention’ | ‘timestamp’ | For more information, see [the metadata on the Isogeo catalog](https://open.isogeo.com/s/434296189d794266a04a8678e256f0c4/HiLeps3y1qrSx6aTDmKyp0spGPix0/r/e8ec508c493c4a798f9e951a8e19210a).
