Dataset description

These data are disseminated for information purposes and are not enforceable against the Metropolis. The local urban planning plan is a communal or intercommunal (PLUi) urban planning document (PLUi) that determines the conditions for land use and development. Subject: A real toolbox to guide the planning of the territory and to align its various challenges (habitat, mobility, economic activities, environment, etc.), the PLU(i) is also a major vehicle for transcribing the communal or intercommunal project. Like other urban planning documents, the PLU must aim to ensure the conditions for sustainable planning of the territory, taking into account the needs of all inhabitants and the resources of the territory, and combining social, economic and environmental dimensions (including the economical management of space). It can be developed by the competent community at the level of: intercommunal (it is then also called PLUi), communal, or, for large intercommunalities competent in matters of PLU and who so wish, on the scale of a new municipality or several municipalities (the territory of this intercommunality must however be fully covered by PLU — PLUi, as well as the “large size” allowing recourse to this possibility is specified by the urban planning code). Its requirements apply to the work, construction, fitting-out, planting, scouring or enhancement of the soil, as well as, where appropriate, to the openings of classified installations belonging to the categories covered by the PLU.
