Dataset description

The limit of 300 metres from the low-water mark is 300 metres downstream of the instant shore line delimited downstream of the special police area of bathing and nautical activities carried out using unregistered gear (Law 86.2, known as the Coastal Law of 3/01/1986). It is placed under the authority of the mayor. It is also the limit of the navigation area limited to 5 knots. The actual limit fluctuates with the tide. The limit generated in this file corresponds to a low tide situation of 120 and therefore the maximum extension. It was generated by calculation from zero hydrographic at 1/50000. In the upstream part of the estuaries, as well as on freshwater plans, this file should be confronted with the register of municipalities classified as coastal municipalities (operation not carried out so far). The source data are derived from the calculation of elements contained in the BDBS SHOM (construction IFREMER).
