Dataset description

The water ledger includes: — leaving the highest waters (the limit of land never covered by the sea), the continuity of which is ensured throughout the BDCarthage. In the case of islands, it shall be seized only if it demarcates an area with an area equal to or greater than 1 hectare; — leaving the lowest water (limit of land always submerged), where it is more than 100 metres away from the top water mark (otherwise it is not seized) and outside the estuaries (where an arbitrary line closing the estuary is seized instead of the lowest water mark). In the case of islands emerging only at low tide, it shall be seized only if it demarcates an area of 4 hectares or more. A leak section is located by geometric arcs, corresponding to the cuts by attributes managed by the IGN: Nature. The change in value of a attribute shall result in the creation of a leak section only if the new value remains constant over a length of at least 1 km. The BDCarthage Guadeloupe is maintained by DEAL Guadeloupe. The structure of the database is identical to the metropole. The Carthage Guadeloupe BD is a version validated by the EDIS but not by the IGN and therefore problems of incompatibility with IGN REFERENTIELS may arise (and an update “will formalise” the Carthage BD with IGN validation).
