Dataset description
Beginning in 1998, hundreds of individual images were taken perpendicularly in digital aeroplanes. The high-resolution images with 10 cm bottom pixels were digitally equalised and matched precisely using GPS data. These aerial mosaics of the urban area can be superimposed with maps. It is possible to measure routes and calculate areas. In a lower resolution, the Department of Geoinformation presents these aerial images on the Braunschweig Internet City Plan.
