Dataset description

The data series includes the background values 50. Percentile (median) or 90. Percentile of the investigated elements for the subsurface in analysis of the data from the overview of the soils of Saxony-Anhalt on a scale of 1:200,000. supported background values of the elements: Antimony (Sb), arsenic (As), barium (Ba), beryllium (Be), lead (Pb), boron (B), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), cobalt (Co), copper (Cu), lithium (Li), manganese (Mn), molybdenum (Mo), nickel (Ni), mercury (Pb), selenium (Se), strontium (Sr), tellurium (Tl), uranium (U), vanadium (V), zinc (Zn), tin (Sn). Background value: Background values are representative, statistically derived values for commonly used background content of a substance or group of substances in soils. Background content: (Harm) content of a soil consisting of the geogenic (natural) basic content of a soil and the ubiquitous distribution of substances as a result of diffuse entries into the soil (BBodSchV, 1999). Spatial basis: Legend units form the contour basis for the regionalisation of the values derived for the individual substrates with horizontal/layer reference. 50. Percentile/Median: 50 % of the values are below and 50 % of the values are above this value for the respective element. 90. Percentile: 90 % of the values are below and 10 % of the values are above this value for the respective element. Legend formation takes place in 5 classes derived from the distribution of values based on the BBodSchV (1999). In addition to the legend fields, the data set contains further fields with information on the substrate reference, which served as indicators of the calculation.
