Brand geese: Mouse stock and occurrences in the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea (data for WFS, UIG)

This service-related database for a WFS download service provides all brandgans data available from 2010 from counting flights in the area of the Schleswig-Holstein Wadden Sea National Park. Fire geese are incapable of flying in the summer for a few weeks and are particularly prone to disturbance during the mouse season. The Brandgans monitoring takes place during this mouse period in the months of July — September and provides information on the spatial and temporal distribution of the fire geese. The importance and change of the most important mouse areas can be estimated and evaluated with regard to potential sources of interference. Estimates of stock sizes can also be derived from the data. In addition, a distinction can be made in the data between flightable and non-flightable fire geese. This metadata record refers to the following data that can be accessed via the associated services: 1. Occurrences at the time of mouse: the table contains data from 2010 on all three flights of a straight year (i.e. 2010, 2012, etc.), so that the variability of the mouse occurrence can be mapped (UIG relevant). This data can be accessed via the associated service "WFS: Mausering fire geese" (Object ID:B837BEA3-DAA2-448D-946C-3B75255CBB14). 2. Maximum mouse stock: the table shows the data from 2010, but only the flight of a year where the highest number of arson geese was sighted. This data is used to estimate the inventory of fire geese (one flight per year). This data can be retrieved via the associated service “(WFS) Brandgeese” (Object ID:B837BEA3-DAA2-448D-946C-3B75255CBB14).
