Dataset description

Brandenburg card from the year 1588. Reproduction of an old coloured copper engraving by Flemish geographer and cartographer Abraham Ortelius (2.4.1527 to 28.6.1598). Depicted are the Old, Central and Neumarks of the time with the largest places, waters and forests. The reproduction was done with kind permission of the Prignitz Museum at the Cathedral in Havelberg. There is the original copper engraving, which served as a template. The card has a size of 52 cm x 40 cm.
