Dataset description

Site-dependent minimum values in metres above ground to which the chimney height is to be increased in accordance with TA Luft 2021 point 5.5.2.3.5. to take into account uneven terrain. The 10 m x 10 m grid of this data set indicates site-dependent minimum heights in metres above ground to which the chimney height is to be increased in accordance with TA Luft point 5.5.2.3, paragraph 5, to take into account uneven terrain. These are orientation values for planning and plausibility testing of new chimneys in NRW. TA Luft, point 5.5.2.3, paragraph 5: ‘Where the landscape horizon, viewed from the mouth of the chimney, is above the horizontal and its angle to the horizontal is greater than 15 degrees in a direction sector that is at least 20 degrees wide, the chimney height shall be increased until that angle is less than or equal to 15 degrees. The displayed pixel values in meters above ground result from this condition based on the DGM10 of Geobasis NRW. The values given here must be checked for plausibility by a site inspection and, if necessary, to be corrected taking into account further details not shown in the DGM10.
