Dataset description
The Digital Topographic Map 1:500 000 (DTK500) is an overview map of Bavaria on a scale of 1:500 000. The contents of the DTK500 are: Roads, railways, waters, forest areas, settlement areas or local symbols, administrative boundaries, writings, etc. The map contents are very reduced and generalised because of the very small scale. The DTK500 is suitable as an overview map for bay-wide displays and as a street map. The retrievable map section per WMS request is limited to a maximum of 2,000x2,000 pixels.
