Dataset description

The dataset Distribution of Neobiota in North Rhine-Westphalia contains regional spatial data for the distribution of neobiota (non-territorial species) within the meaning of the INSPIRE Annex III theme “Distribution of Species (SD)”. The data show the distribution in a 10x10km grid (UTM) as “analytical units”. The data are valid for the current reporting period in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 1143/2014 on the prevention and management of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species. The object meta data for the UTM grid cell (analytical unit), as object geometry, contain information on inspireId, the ReferenceSpeciesSchemeValue (ReferenceSpeciesSchemeValue), e.g. EU-NOMEN, the corresponding typename URL “ReferenceSpeciesCodeValue” and the “accepted name” according to EU nouns under “referenceSpeciesName” “localName” possibly German name or deviating wiss. Name and value for the category of occurrence (OccurranceCategoryValue). The data show distribution of neobiota in North Rhine-Westphalia. Special features: These are only raster cells. The data is freely accessible. The data shall be collected and digitalised as a basis for the reporting obligation under Regulation (EU) No 1143/2014 on the prevention and management of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species. The data must be made public on the Internet in North Rhine-Westphalia on the basis of § 3 of the Land Nature Protection Act.
