Dataset description

The e-government interface vector data export is a web service provided via the e-government basic component Geodata (GeoBAK). The vector data export interface makes it possible to convert geometry objects into different spatial data formats, which sometimes also support integrated symbolisations. Due to a variety of functional extensions, a separate format is used for the geometry objects in the geoportal. The geometry objects are used in the geoportal and the map viewer for the presentation of search results, vector data import, print and export, as well as the drawing and editing tools, making basic Web GIS functionalities available. The geometry objects can be accessed via the Link Generator (mapID’s) function and when using the map viewer’s e-government interfaces. In combination with the e-government interface vector data import, a function is available to perform format conversions between the most common spatial data formats. A further development of the interface with additional formats is planned.
