EasyGSH-DB: Long-term parameters of salinity (LZKS)

Motivation: The calculation and graphical representation of the tide-independent parameters of salinity can help to further shed light on some aspects of the system behaviour of natural waters. In contrast to the tide characteristic values of the salinity, the determination of the tide-independent salinity parameters primarily serves to analyse the (system) behaviour of: — not tide-dominated waters, such as coastal waters and estuaries along the Baltic Sea coast, or extreme situations, such as special overwater events, which are characterised by a course of salinity significantly different from the average constraints, as well as for the determination of salinity characteristics for arbitrary long or short analysis periods.
