Dataset description

This WMS service includes spatially differentiated data on landslide hazards and flood hazards (HQ100) related to the rail infrastructure. Both data sets are products of the research and projects of the Federal Railway Office as part of the work of the BMVI expert network in the field of climate change impacts and adaptation (bmvi-expert network.de). The factual information and hazard classes shall be provided exclusively for the area of rail infrastructure. Data base for this is the data set ‘geo-route’ (as of 01/2017), which is provided by Deutsche Bahn (DB) under the license Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) (http://data.deutschebahn.com/dataset/geo-strecke). Landslide hazard: The potential hazard ranges and buffers (0 m and 50 m) in relation to hazard classes greater than or equal to 10) (see final report “Establishment of an engineering geological hazard information map on slope and embankment slides along the German rail network” — Railway Federal Office: 11vb/018-0099#22; P. 100). The attribute “Gef_ber” was added and divided into three classes into areas of the hazard class >= 10, the direct influence range (0) and a buffer of 50 m (50) were taken into account. Areas with a lower calculated hazard class or outside the buffer are encoded with ‘999’. Flood hazard (HQ100): Shown are the sections of the federal rail network affected by a HQ100, derived from the digital flood hazard maps of the Länder (see Directive 2007/60/EC). The attribute “HQ100” has been added and is divided into two classes: “0” not within designated HQ100 areas and “1” within designated HQ100 areas.
