Dataset description
Environmental zones are areas where only vehicles that comply with certain emission standards are allowed to drive. The vehicles (cars and trucks) must be marked with badges on the windshield. The aim of these environmental zones is to reduce the pollutant emissions caused by road transport. At the moment, the priority is to reduce particles and NOx emissions. The data set contains the information on environmental zones reported by the Länder and municipalities in the following overview for the entire territory of the Federal Republic of Germany.
