Dataset description

The environmental zones Hannover and Osnabrück were defined in their location and extent by the cities in an air pollution control plan. Only vehicles of certain groups of pollutants may enter an environmental zone, depending on the stage. The pollutant groups differ in the height of the particle emission and are marked with different colored plaques. Red for pollutant group 2, yellow for pollutant group 3 and green for pollutant group 4. This data set describes the environmental zones in Hanover and Osnabrück in their spatial location and extent, the respective restrictions for vehicle traffic are scheduled differently.
