Dataset description

The shape includes the demarcations of the European Commission in the list of sites of Community importance (SCI list) added Areas ¿FFH-areas. (Commission Decisions of 12 and 13 November 2007 published in Official Journal of the European Union of 15.1.2008) The demarcations available on a scale of 1:5,000 represent, mutatis mutandis, transfers of official Delimitation of the notified areas (reporting Germany to the EC) to the topographies of the German base card 1:5,000. In Schleswig-Holstein, all bird protection areas and sites are of Community importance (SGB or englisch:SCI) according to national law (NSG, LSG or European Bird Conservation Areas, unless designated as NSG or LSG, pursuant to § 4 LNatSchG in conjunction with Section 33(1), first sentence BNatSchG in conjunction with Section 24(1) of the LNatSchG and the formally announced site-specific conservation objectives) have been declared Special Protected Areas (SPAs or SACs). Accordingly, all bird sanctuaries and all FFH areas in Schleswig-Holstein are special Protected area (SPA or SAC). Within the framework of legal protection of the individual territories within the meaning of Section 32(2) and (3) of the BNatSchG i.V. by Paragraph 23(1) of the LNatSchG, these delimitations are processed in a final and legally binding manner. In the north of the FFH area ¿NTP S-H Wadden Sea and adjoining coastal areas(0916-391) it extends to the territory of Denmark. The course of the territorial border in the marine area (especially north-west of Sylt) is not yet bindingly mapped between the two countries.
