Dataset description

This data set covers the habitats of the species listed in Annex II to the Habitats Directive. The species of Community interest are listed in Annex II and/or Annex IV or Annex V and are either threatened, potentially threatened, rare or endemic and require special attention as a result of their habitat and/or the potential impact of their use on their conservation status. Annex II to the Habitats Directive (Directive 92/43/EEC) lists the types of Community interest for which special protection areas must be created. The data set FFH-ARTEN_F comprises the Annex II species with surface habitats depicted as polygons.
