Dataset description

Digital database of the calculation result Lden (day, evening, night) 2017 according to the EU Environmental Noise Directive (2002/49/EC, 34. BImSchV) for the major airport Hannover/Langenhagen. The Lden level is calculated according to the VBUF (preliminary calculation method for ambient noise at aerodromes). These levels are calculated at a height of 4 m above ground and in a grid of 10 x 10 m. The relevant flight routes with the aircraft flying on it serve as acoustic source.
