Forest and openland biotopes of biotope mapping in Saxony — punctual biotopes

The data set contains the punctual forest and openland biotopes of the nationwide selective biotope mapping carried out by the Land Office for the Environment, Agriculture and Geology of Saxony (LfULG) and the state enterprise Sachsenforst (SBS) (2. Passage) in the Free State of Saxony. Selective means that only the particularly rare and protective biotopes have been mapped. A biotope identification number is given for each biotope. This consists of the map sheet number of the topographic map 1:10,000 (TK10), the responsibility for mapping (LfULG or SBS), a serial number and a sub-number. In addition, it is indicated whether it is a biotope of forest biotope mapping (performed by the SBS) or the open land biotope mapping (performed by the LfULG). No independent biotope mapping has been carried out since 2009. The survey is carried out within the framework of coarse monitoring of the flora-fauna habitat types.
