Dataset description
The data set contains the stocks as the smallest forestry economic unit in the forest of the Free State of Saxony. Forest ownership type (WEA), forest holding number, forest subdivision address, department number, subdivision number, sub-area number, stock (main stock, secondary stock), forest district number, area number and 11-digit forest facility technical address are provided for each stock. It is differentiated whether it is forest or non-forestry area according to the Saxon Forest Act (SächsWaldG). Forest economic units are formed within the framework of the forestry facility for each forest operation and updated on the deadline. The data collected, the so-called forest basic data (FGD), are the basic data of the forest base map (FGK). They are at the same time the basis for the economic exploitation of the forest. They are stored in the forest database as well as in geoinformation systems and visualised in various, derived map types of the state enterprise Sachsenforst.
