Dataset description
The data set contains the centroid points of the departments as a forest economic unit in the forest of the Free State of Saxony. For each point department address, forest property type (WEA), forest farm number, forest part address, department number, forest district number, area number and 11-digit forestry equipment technical address of the department are provided. It is differentiated whether it is forest or non-forestry area according to the Saxon Forest Act (SächsWaldG). Forest economic units are formed within the framework of the forestry facility for each forest operation and updated on the deadline. The data collected, the so-called forest basic data (FGD), are the basic data of the forest base map (FGK). They are at the same time the basis for the economic exploitation of the forest. They are stored in the forest database as well as in geoinformation systems and visualised in various, derived map types of the state enterprise Sachsenforst.
