The data set contains forest areas (1 ha) with a special recreational function in the Free State of Saxony. Forest with a special recreation function serves for recreation in the medical sense, the nature-related leisure activities and the nature experience of its visitors. Its attraction is essentially based on the special natural equipment, the experience value, the accessibility and the presence of recreational facilities. The data is used for the forest function map 1:25,000 of Saxony. Further information can be found in the brochure on forest function mapping published by the state enterprise Sachsenforst.
