Dataset description
The data set contains the centroid points of the forest areas in the Free State of Saxony. For each area, several centroides can exist, for each subpolygon a centroid. Forest areas are the lowest forest-organizational administrative unit of the Landesforstverwaltung. For each Zentroid, forest district number, forest district name, area number, area name and classification as a state or care forest area are indicated. Areas are part of the forest basic data/forest base map and the basis for the recording and running of all basic forest data and the derived other map species in the state enterprise Sachsenforst.
