Dataset description

Framework data on agricultural structural development planning for the Saarland (AEP) “Forest” With a forested area of 89.600 ha, about 35 % of the Saarland is forested. Measured by a federal average of 29 % forest share, Saarland is one of the more forest-rich federal states. Large contiguous forest stocks are mainly found in the Saarkohlenwald, Warndt and along the northern border (Ministry of Environment — 2000).
