Dataset description

This metadata catalogue is available free of charge to all public bodies in Lower Saxony for the collection of metadata (geodata descriptions). If you would like to use this application, please send us the completed registration form, which can be accessed via the freely available application. The metadata contained in the catalogue is the responsibility of the spatial data holders. The GDI-NI Coordination Unit will also provide metadata on specialised information systems (FIS) that have GDI relevance and which, after our research, do not yet have a metadata description by the respective operator. This metadata catalog for metadata collection in the geodata portal Lower Saxony contains only original metadata that are relevant to the state of Lower Saxony. The metadata is collected by individual institutions at the state level, by districts and municipalities as well as by companies of supply and disposal. Attention: This catalogue does not include all the metadata of the state of Lower Saxony. For this purpose, please use the CSW interface of the geodata search Lower Saxony (http://geoportal.geodaten.niedersachsen.de/harvest/srv/de/csw?Service=CSW&Request=GetCapabilities). For more information, please refer to the application or the geodata portal Lower Saxony.
