Geodata search Lower Saxony (CSW)

This CSW interface contains all spatial data descriptions (metadata), which are currently provided by the data holders in Lower Saxony as part of the spatial data infrastructure. It supplies the Geodatenkatalog.de metadata relevant to the provision of INSPIRE. To supply this catalog service, you can provide CSW or send your metadata via XML file to us e.g. by e-mail. The metadata contained in the catalogue is the responsibility of the data holders (cf. Metadata contact in the individual metadata record). This metadata catalogue for geodata search in the geodata portal Lower Saxony contains only metadata from third-party catalogues, which are retrieved via a harvesting mechanism. The best way to see which third-party services are being provided is by accessing the application interface (http://geoportal.geodaten.niedersachsen.de/harvest/) and looking at the categories mentioned there. The harvesting of metadata takes place both via the CSW interfaces available in the country and via file harvesting. Harvesting is not yet carried out according to a fixed schedule.
