Dataset description
The German Basic Map 1:5000 (DGK5) was the topographic base map in North Rhine-Westphalia until February 2016. It is replaced by the Official Base Card 1:5000 (ABK). Due to the decree on the future of the card scale 1:5,000 of the Ministry of Interior and Municipality of 23 February 2016, the cadastral authorities are no longer obliged to continue the German basic card 1:5,000. However, the district of Recklinghausen continues the map work in part even further. However, the data is expressly provided as historical geo-based data.
