Dataset description
The data set contains the growth districts in the Free State of Saxony. Growth districts are landscape areas with a uniform physiogeographical character within a growing area. They are the mean forest natural space unit, which is designated in the context of forest survey on the basis of ecological, soil geological, geographical and climatic criteria, as well as the distribution of certain vegetation units and tree species. In addition to the growth district address and the growth district name, the superordinate growth area is also given. The growth districts are derived from the choral units. The data is used for the forest location map.
