Dataset description

The topic of “earthfall and lowering areas” is intended to point to geogenic natural hazards caused by subrosion/caring out without assessing them in detail. The focus is on informing users where rocks are spread in the geological subsurface, which are subject to natural subrosion processes and at the same time can have an impact on the earth’s surface (potential hazardous areas). It was assumed that the subrodable rocks concerned were spread close to the surface to a depth of about 100 metres without any distinction in carbonate, sulfate or chloride karst. At the same time, the dissemination of events that have already occurred was taken into account. The subrosion events that have already occurred and recorded in the LAGB LSA karst cadastre (earthfalls, lowers, crevices) are presented as single objects (point data). They are buffered with a 100 m grid for data protection reasons. This includes both recent and fossil events without distinction.
