Dataset description

A large-scale reduction takes place in the basin of Bad Reichenhall (Starzmann 1979:114). The demarcation of this area was based on the site plan in this publication as well as the geological and tectonic conditions. Since the levels cited do not cover the entire Reichenhall basin, the potential lowering area has been extended to the potential valley areas affected by reductions, in part with a security surcharge. For a local development, the lowering is usually of no importance there. Only for large and sensitive structures can damage due to settlement differences cannot be ruled out. Building land and foundation reports shall take into account this particular problem, if necessary. Large-scale reductions are also known from the area around the Grögern Weiher in Bayerisch Gmain. The delimitation of that area was based on the file at the LfU. The documentation available to the LfU does not fully cover the reduction area. A delimitation, especially to the southwest, is therefore only provisional. An even wider extension of the lowering area is possible, but there are no concrete indications for this. In the lower area of Grögern Weiher, it is definitely recommended to draw up building ground and foundation reports that take this issue into account. Further information on the interpretation and procedure for the preparation of the hazard statement card can be found in the reports on the hazard statement cards: https://www.lfu.bayern.de/geologie/massenbewegungen_karten_daten/gefahrenhinweiskarten/index.htm
