Dataset description

The download service provides data on flood events observed in the past as a shapefile. Data from major expired flood events are collected — if possible — and transferred to maps. The surface extension and the flood line (external delimitation of floods) as well as historical water level marks are recorded. This information, in conjunction with the regular records of water levels at levels, forms an important basis for the professional assessment of the risk of flooding.
