Dataset description

The INSPIRE Service Distribution of Bird Species (D-F) in Germany — Distribution provides nationwide distribution datasets in accordance with the requirements of the INSPIRE Directive Annex III topic. The dissemination data was compiled by the umbrella association of German Avifaunists (DDA) and coordinated with the bird guards and professional associations of the federal states. The dissemination data was provided in the 2019 National Birds Report in accordance with Article 12 of the EU Birds Directive. Data from the atlas of German breeding bird species (Gedeon et al. 2014), data from the Internet portal www.ornitho.de as well as individual supplementary data from individual federal states combined. The data have been collected methodically differently. The survey data comes from the period 2005-2016. The service does not contain information on sensitive species.
