Dataset description

The INSPIRE dataset Distribution of species (invasive species) in Germany — occurrences provides nationwide occurrence records in accordance with the requirements of the INSPIRE Guideline Annex III topic. In accordance with Article 24(1) of Regulation (EU) No 1143/2014 on the prevention and management of the introduction and spread of invasive alien species, for the first national report, the dissemination data of the species detected in Germany were compiled for the reporting period 1.1.2015 to 31.12.2018 for the first national report. The dissemination data was transmitted to the European Commission in the report tool for the Regulation, the European Environment Information and Observation Network (EIONET). This data was included in the 2021 report from the Commission to the European Parliament and the Council (Report from the Commission to the European Parliament and the Council on the review of the application of Regulation (EU) No 1143/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council) (https://ec.europa.eu/environment/pdf/nature/invasive_alien_species_implementation_report.pdf).
