Dataset description

The INSPIRE service INSPIRE Habitat and Biotopes in Germany — habitat types Seas and Coasts — occurrences provides nationwide occurrence records in accordance with the requirements of the INSPIRE Directive Annex III topic. The occurrence data were merged by the Federal Office for Nature Conservation from data from the federal states and the federal government for the purpose of producing the national report in accordance with Article 17 of the Habitats Directive. The origin data were provided by the Länder in accordance with the requirements of the EU for the national FFH report in accordance with Article 17 of the Habitats Directive. The information usually refers to the period from 2000 to 2012. Different periods may have been taken into account for individual habitat types. Specific information can be found in the factual report data under point 1.1.3 (https://www.bfn.de/nationale-ffh-berichte).
