This data set provides the Information System Geological Overview Map of North Rhine-Westphalia 1: 500 000 (IS GÜK 500) for the INSPIRE topic Geology. The map gives a generalised overview of the distribution of rocks in North Rhine-Westphalia. The geological unit, the geological age (chronostratigraphy), the type of rock (lithology) and the genesis (geogenesis) are represented.
