Dataset description

The interoperable INSPIRE display service (WMS) Soil (ground geothermal energy in the state of Brandenburg) provides an overview of the area requirements of geothermal collectors for the use of near-surface geothermal energy in Brandenburg, optimised for the scale 1: 300 000. This map is based on the legend units of the floor overview map (BÜK300) with corresponding assignment of parameterised surface soil shapes. These represent a soil form society for each legend unit (LE). The individual surface soil forms (FBF) were documented with soil physical characteristics, which were determined by terrain and laboratory tests. This map takes into account two main factors influencing the thermal conductivity of the soil, soil type and soil water balance. According to the INSPIRE data specification Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0), the contents of the floor map are INSPIRE-compliant. The WMS includes the following layers: — SO.geothermalAreaDemand: Geothermal heat collectors describes the potential surface demand of earth-layed heat exchangers, so-called geothermal heat collectors, for the geothermal use of the soil. — SO.SoilBody: Demarcated and with respect to certain soil characteristics and/or spatial patterns of homogeneous part of the floor ceiling. — The compliant INSPIRE view service (WMS) Soil provides an overview of the area demand of source heat collectors for the use of near-surface geothermal energy in the State of Brandenburg, optimised for the scale of 1: 300,000. This map is based on the legend units of the soil overview map (BÜK300). The map takes into account two major factors influencing the thermal conductivity of the soil, soil texture and soil water balance. The content of the soil map is compliant to the INSPIRE data specification for the annex theme Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0). The WMS includes the following layers: — SO.geothermalAreaDemand: Area demand for geothermal heat collectors indicates the potential area consumption of ground source heat collectors for the geothermal use of the soil. — SO.SoilBody: Part of the soil cover that is delineated and that is homogeneous with regard to certain soil properties and/or spatial patterns.
