Dataset description

The interoperable INSPIRE display service (WMS) Soil (characteristics of the water movement Brandenburg) provides an overview of the saturated water conductivity (CF value) up to 1 m, as well as up to 2 m below terrain surface in the state of Brandenburg, optimised for scale 1: 300 000. The map is based on the legend units of the soil overview map (BÜK300) with corresponding assignment of parametrised surface soil shapes determined by terrain and laboratory tests. In the case of insufficient data, because of the better consistency of the derived values with measured data from the characteristics tables of the soil animal carting instructions, 3 rd edition, Hanover 1982 on water movement, tab 49 using the link rule 1.12 (method documentation Soil Science, Hennings et al. 2000) used. According to the INSPIRE data specification Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0), the contents of the card are INSPIRE-compliant. The WMS includes the following layers: — SO.hydraulicConductivity (100 cm): Saturated hydraulic conductivity indicates the permeability of the fully water-saturated soil for water, taking into account the temperature variable properties of density and viscosity. — SO.hydraulicConductivity (200 cm): Saturated hydraulic conductivity indicates the permeability of the fully water-saturated soil for water, taking into account the temperature variable properties of density and viscosity. — SO.SoilBody: Demarcated and with respect to certain soil characteristics and/or spatial patterns of homogeneous part of the floor ceiling. — The compliant INSPIRE view service (WMS) Soil provides an overview of the saturated hydraulic conductivity (Kf-value) up to 1 m, as well as up to 2 m below ground level in the federal state of Brandenburg, optimised for the scale 1: 300 000. The map is based on the legend units of the soil map (BÜK300) with corresponding assignment of parameterised soil forms, which were determined by field and laboratory investigations. In the case of inadequate data bases, the data were obtained using the values from the tables of the Bodenkundliche Kartier Anleitung, 3 rd edition, Hanover 1982 for water movement, Tab. 43 using method 1.12 (method documentation Bodenkunde, Hennings et al. 2000). The content of the soil map is compliant to the INSPIRE data specification for the annex theme Soil (D2.8.III.3_v3.0). The WMS includes the following layers: — SO.hydraulicConductivity (100 cm): Saturated hydraulic conductivity indicates the permeability of the fully water-saturated soil to the fluid water, taking into account the temperature-variable properties of density and viscosity. — SO.hydraulicConductivity (200 cm): Saturated hydraulic conductivity indicates the permeability of the fully water-saturated soil to the fluid water, taking into account the temperature-variable properties of density and viscosity. — SO.SoilBody: Part of the soil cover that is delineated and that is homogeneous with regard to certain soil properties and/or spatial patterns.
