Dataset description

The data plane geology surface describes the rocks occurring on the surface to a depth of 2 meters. On the basis of the digitisation of the map sheets published since 1870 on the “Geological Map of Saxony-Anhalt on a scale of 1:25,000”, the data are summarised in a 2-layer model. Transitions of the geological description between the leaves of the geological map were generalised. The encryption of the digitised content is done on the basis of the symbol key geology. Scale: 1:25000
