Inventory data in the web map service of the Lower Saxony surveying and cadastral administration

The free service “Inventory Overview” contains daily up-to-date information on the current data in the VKV map service. With the help of the service, you can also determine the continuation units or sheet sections of the individual map works on the basis of the TK100. For most products in the area of geobase data, inventory data is available in the form of a sheet overview. The sheet overview contains the blade section of the respective product as well as the sheet number. The data that can be retrieved via a web map service is not tied to the blade section of an analogue map product itself, but can be retrieved in any format and in a relatively wide scale range. The data in the map server builds on the data of the analogue map or digitally created products on defined continuation units, so that certain metadata (e.g. the timeliness of the data) are related to the map sheet or the continuation unit. It is advisable to request the inventory data together with a suitable product (e.g. the navigation product). The inventory data is presented transparently so that a spatial orientation is possible. The inventory data can be queried with the WMS function ‘GetFeatureInfo’ for descriptive information.
