Dataset description

This WMS presents the Information System Geological Overview Map of North Rhine-Westphalia 1: 500 000 (IS GÜK 500). The map gives a generalised overview of the spread of rocks in North Rhine-Westphalia and in the peripheral areas of neighbouring countries. The map shows the geological layers (stratigraphy with petrography) as well as the tectonic faults.
