Dataset description

Territorial boundaries of the existing landscape protected areas (LSG) pursuant to Section 26 of the Federal Nature Conservation Act of 29 July 2009 [BGBl. I p. 2542] (last amended 6 October 2011 [BGBl. I p. 1986) in conjunction with § 15 Landesnaturschutzgesetz of 24. Februrar 2010 [GVOBl. Schl.-H. p. 301] (last amended 13 July 2011 [GVOBl. Schl.-H. p. 225]). The responsibility for the designation of landscape protected areas lies with the districts as lower nature conservation authorities. The completeness of the data can therefore not be guaranteed (depending on the supply by the circles). Shown here are only LSG areas that are outside nature reserves (NSG). The digital boundaries have arisen from the transmission of the analogous regulatory maps of the circles. For detailed questions, the original maps of the respective ordinance (located with the districts/lower nature conservation authorities as well as the Land/Supreme Nature Conservation Authority) please contact the relevant district. The “territory no” (as lfd. no. per district) is based on the following principles: 1) Order is derived from the date of the First Regulation. 2) If several parts of the landscape are protected in a regulation or if their independent management is explicitly mentioned in the official/official list of the district, each part of the landscape will have its own number (and name). 3) If an LSG is cancelled, the corresponding polygons and records will be deleted. This can result in jumps/gaps in the continuous numbering. 4) If a sub-area is designated as LSG within an already protected area, it will be given a new number (and name). In the dataset, in the field ‘year’ — as an indication of the end-to-end or previous protection — the indication of the previous LSG is taken over. Within the State Office, identical numbers are used in the GIS, in the Protected Area Register (SGK) and in the file plan. The reference number for LSG is as follows: 5322.1-, hereinafter the circle identification number as well as the lfd. No. (completed for OD, OH, PI — otherwise only agreed by GIS and SGK) There may be different numberings between the registers of the districts and the Land Office.
