Dataset description

The map service (WMS) presents the spatial data from the landscape program Saarland the theme map surface waters and floodplains.: Even under confined conditions, technically developed flowing waters in the settlement area can be upgraded. First and foremost, the more natural design of the stream sole is in question in order to increase the habitat supply for a variety of flowing water organisms. In the same way, the site image and the local recreation possibilities can be significantly improved by a corresponding design of the water and its surroundings. The Saarland landscape programme places areas of action in this regard from a supra-local point of view of nature conservation. see Saarland Landscape Programme, Chapter 5.13
