Dataset description

Increasing slope inclination makes the rational mechanical management of the vineyards more difficult. In flat, non-terrasised vineyards, the annual workload incl. harvesting is about 400 hours/ha/year and increases to 1500 hours/ha/year in steep terraced wall vineyards. The soil removal already uses 2 to 3 % slope inclination with non-green soil surface. Most vineyards at risk of erosion are now protected from soil removal by greening, in rainy areas, partly by straw cover. Further information: https://lgrb-bw.de/bodenkunde/projekte/weinbauatlas
