Dataset description

For the city of Freiburg im Breisgau, a location class map was developed by the Review Committee for Real Estate Evaluation Freiburg, which has nine categories. This number results from the separation between the town without Tuniberg municipalities and Hochdorf (Soth) and the Tuniberg municipalities and Hochdorf (TH), each comprising commercial areas as well as 4 and 3 location classes. The nine classes do not correspond to, or are not comparable to, the residential areas of the share price mirror. The location classes are not only based on the height of the soil benchmarks. They make a statement about the general quality of the situation in the city of Freiburg and within a district. The location class is therefore both: a coarser form of aggregation, which on the one hand summarises the same qualities across the district boundaries and, on the other hand, allows a more precise representation of the local conditions within the districts. The spatial data set contains the location class map as an addition to the soil benchmarks 2014. The areas in the map are assigned to the following 5 graded location classes: 0=Commercial (grey); 1=simple position (yellow); 2= medium position (green); 3=good location (light blue); 4=very good location (dark blue).
