Location designations catalogue

In the Thuringian State Office for Surveying and Geoinformation, the location designation catalog (ThürLKat) for the entire Free State is derived from ALKIS. Each street in each village has its own key number. This catalogue of location names is of great interest to the Thuringian municipalities, as they can use the same road key when building up their own databases and GIS systems, so that an identical code can be used throughout the Free State. Thus, basic requirements are met so that, for example, rescue services can be clearly assigned to the place of operation or, for example, the tree cadastre of a municipality can be transferred to the tree cadastre of a district. The applications are very versatile.
